ABOUT

The design premise of this project revolves around the intrinsic characteristics of the site, encompassing its topography, size, and distinctive geometry. Situated amidst the picturesque countryside, specifically atop a steep hill, the building seamlessly integrates with the natural contours of the land.
Given the limited expanse of the plot, the architectural design ingeniously maximizes its surface area by spanning across two stories, artfully following the existing topography. The lower level, with its expansive windows offering breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, caters to the living and kitchen areas. Meanwhile, the upper portion takes the form of a rectangular prism, encompassing the private zones along with a generously-sized balcony that opens up to the awe-inspiring panoramic vista.
In response to sustainability concerns, the upper prism is intentionally designed with a more solid construction, prioritizing energy efficiency and thermal performance. Simultaneously, this design choice creates shaded areas that provide respite from direct sunlight for the lower glass cube, optimizing the comfort and livability of the space.
By harmonizing with the site's topography and skillfully addressing sustainability considerations, this architectural project achieves a seamless blend of functionality, aesthetics, and environmental consciousness.
